Difference between moped and scooter

A moped is a bicycle-type vehicle, equipped with pedals and a low-powered motor, which provides an economical mode of transportation. The term moped, or motor-pedal, is derived from the bicycle-like pedals that the rider uses to propel the vehicle and to start its helper motor. Most states classify a two-wheeled vehicle with a engine displacement lower than 49 cubic centimeters as a moped.  There are only two classifications of motorized cycle. Cycles with an engine below 50cc of power are considered mopeds. Engines that are over 50cc are considered a motor scooter even if they are not traditionally what one would think of a motorcycle. As far as manufacturing some makers will consider a moped a motor scooter even if it is under 50cc of power.
Mopeds are usually equipped with a pedaling system. Many states require this pedaling system. A number of mopeds can still be operated with only the pedaling system if necessary. Motor scooters do not have a pedaling system, they rely fully on the use of their electric or gas powered motor. Motor scooters also have foot wells to add protection to the operator.
In states where motor scooters are considered motorcycles, a helmet is required for any age of operator. For mopeds, in most states, a helmet is not required for operators passed a certain age. Additionally, a moped license can be acquired at an earlier age than a motor scooter license if the scooter is indeed considered a motorcycle.

Most inexpensive transport ever

Today every one wants to save his moey but due to dearness of everything it is become much difficult to save. As other things, traveling is also necesary to live a life and it’s a basic requirment of everyone if you want to go office or school or anywhere you need some conyeance. Today i’m gonna tell you the best and inexpensive option to fill this requirment.
According to my experience most inexpensive way is to riding on 50cc scooter. Yes i have used almost every vehicle and finaly i found that scooter is much better for low budget. Here are few reasons why i prefer 50cc scooter.

Ø  Low Price
50cc scooter can buy at reasonable price than other vehcles. Normally you can buy a 50 cc scooter between $ 500 to $800. You can also get more cheap scooters lower than $500 but that scooter will be also cheap mean poor quality. You can check scooter prices on internet.
Ø  Fuel Saving
Today prices of fuel are going up day by day. A normal 50cc scooter fuel consumption is around 2.0 liter per 100 km that is much lower than other all vehicle.
Ø  Inexpensive mantinence
Mantinence cost of 50cc scooter is less than other all vehicle. If you have a heavy vehicle than you must be know it’s mantinence cost. 50cc scooter required a minimum amount for mantinence.
Ø  Insurance expenses
Scooter insurance is very inexpensive compared to other vehicles. Even in some countries ther is no need to carry insurance for 50cc scooter you can check you own country driving rules.
Ø  Licence requirment
In mostly countries you are not required a motorcycle license for 50cc scooter as insurance. But  Scooters above 50cc like 125cc or above you need a motorcycle licence. Again you can check your own country driving rules.
Ø  Easy to use
Scooters can be used by anyone in family even they are kids. But for kids please give some safty precaution before using scooter. In short scooter are easy to use and can be used by anyone because they are lightweight.
Ø  Flexiblity
Because of their size they provide great advantage when it comes in traffic and it is much easier to find parking place for scooters.

Some things that we should look before buying a scooter

Here asre some things that we should look before buying any scooter or moped specially first time.

Reason of buying scooter:
There might be several reasons, fun to commute, Ease of finding parking, great gas mileage(50 to 90 mpg), wanna look cool cause scooters are much stylish and romantic.
Your riding place and time:
In some areas have lot of mountains and hills and also have cool wheather and snow falling everytime so if you are in such kind of place and buying scooter for such place then i think you are making  a mistake. Scooters are best for plain road in normal wheather.
New or used:
If you’re New to Scooting, many people say it's better to buy a New Scooter. This will help you avoid potential headaches down the road. A new scooter comes with a warrantee and everything should work properly.  If you want to save some money and purchase a used scooter,  If you can afford a new one, buy new.

Brand of scooter:
There are LOTS of good quality scooters and mopeds made. They come from many places including The United States, Italy, Taiwan and Japan. If you go to a reputable dealer your new scooter will be under warrantee. Here is a list of good brands to consider:
Vespa, Piaggio, Aprilla, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kymco, SYM.

Your desired speed of scooter:
Normally 50cc scooters can go 50 km/h  and 125cc scooters maximum speed is 80 km/h. frankly a little 50cc scooter might be perfect for short distance like if your office or workplace is not much far to you and you wanna go there on scooter than 50cc scooter is best. If you are planning to commute long distances on a 70mph highway you’ll need adequate size and power.
